A law firm seeks a highly motivated and skilled Litigation Attorney to join its Personal Injury Litigation Division. Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury and civil litigation cases, ensuring high-quality advocacy and case management.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis using tools like LexisNexis or Westlaw.
  • Manage the discovery process, including depositions and document reviews.
  • Advocate for clients during mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel while prioritizing client interests.
  • Stay current on the applicable rules of civil procedure, evidence, and professional conduct.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring consistent communication and support throughout their cases.
  • Travel as required for depositions, trials, or other case-related activities.

Requirements

  • Active state bar membership in Arizona, Utah, or Idaho (based on location).
  • Proven experience in personal injury litigation, civil litigation, or medical malpractice.
  • Strong skills in legal writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy.
  • Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes and trial procedures.
  • Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure, Evidence, and Professional Conduct.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the bar association in the state of employment (Arizona, Utah, or Idaho).
