Job Overview:
A leading law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking a skilled Patent Prosecution and Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cases involving patent disputes, prosecution, and litigation, while also collaborating with senior attorneys and mentoring junior associates. Duties:

• Manage and execute all aspects of patent litigation, including motions practice, depositions, expert coordination, and trial proceedings.
• Lead case management efforts and oversee the work of junior associates and paralegals.
• Assist in preparing for PTAB proceedings and other complex legal matters related to intellectual property.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure case strategy and goals are clearly defined and pursued.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of emerging trends in patent law and litigation strategies.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients regarding patent portfolio management and protection.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in IP litigation, with substantial exposure to patent prosecution and related legal procedures.
• Proven ability to handle cases independently, including managing case strategies and supervising junior legal staff.
• Experience in PTAB proceedings, depositions, and working with technical experts.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Georgia or be eligible to become licensed in Georgia.
• Engineering degree or technical background preferred. USPTO admission is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Georgia or ability to become licensed in Georgia.
• Admission to the USPTO (preferred).
