A law firm in Boston is seeking a motivated Junior Digital Health Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in healthcare law and regulatory compliance. This role offers the opportunity to exclusively represent digital health companies, including startups and founder-led ventures, across various stages from pre-formation to capital markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in healthcare technology, including AI, telehealth, and health apps, and possess expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate practice of medicine, reimbursement, and fraud and abuse advising.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to digital health clients on regulatory compliance issues related to healthcare technology and innovation.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, and compliance policies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and False Claims Act.
  • Advise clients on Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, value-based care models, and accountable care organizations.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including entity formation, equity financings, and mergers & acquisitions within the digital health sector.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address legal, regulatory, and operational challenges faced by digital health companies.
  • Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client service and support.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar (or ability to waive in).
  • 2-4 years of experience practicing healthcare law with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare regulations impacting digital health companies.
  • Experience advising on corporate practice of medicine and state law considerations for multi-state practices.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and concisely.
