Duties:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well-founded motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Represent clients by arguing motions in court during legal proceedings.
• Strategize, prepare for and participate in trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
• Independently manage a heavy caseload, ensuring timely and efficient case progression.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

• Must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of California.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer or paralegal in the family law or estate planning practice areas.
• Proven track record in representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration.
• Active member in good standing with local and State Bar Associations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
