Immigration Attorney (Legal Analysis)

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Attorney with a focus on legal analysis. This remote position involves conducting in-depth legal analysis of immigration files received through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The attorney will evaluate client immigration histories, identify potential relief options, and provide clear recommendations for next steps. Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal analysis of immigration files obtained through FOIA requests to identify potential relief and case options.
• Perform comprehensive screenings of client documents and immigration histories to assess eligibility for benefits or relief.
• Manage high-volume caseloads while ensuring timely case reviews and meeting deadlines.
• Provide detailed recommendations for next steps in client cases, addressing complex legal issues.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to ensure accurate and timely analysis.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and case developments across various areas of immigration law.
• Document findings and recommendations in a clear and organized manner for internal use and client communication.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in immigration law.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex legal documents.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Proven track record of managing caseloads and advancing legal cases.
• Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• Familiarity with various immigration law areas, including family-based petitions, asylum, removal defense, and other key fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
