This role, positioned within the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, involves managing complex insurance coverage disputes in the commercial insurance sector. The role requires significant experience in handling all aspects of litigation, from client interaction and investigation to representation in court proceedings.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support litigation cases.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other critical legal documents.
  • Represent clients in various legal settings, including court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail and priority.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on complex cases.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals throughout the litigation process.
  • Participate in case planning and strategic discussions to optimize outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience handling insurance coverage disputes within the commercial insurance field.
  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation, including factual investigations, discovery, and client communications.
  • Proficiency in handling multiple types of insurance coverage matters, such as general liability, pollution liability, marine, directors and officers, professional liability, and errors and omissions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.

Certifications:

  • Active admission to the Nebraska State Bar.
