Job Overview: A growing law firm in the Woodstock, GA area is seeking a highly motivated Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work both remotely and in-office while handling a range of business and construction-related litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of litigation experience and be ready to manage cases independently, meeting billable hour requirements and delivering excellent results for clients.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of business and construction litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Meet the firm's billable hour requirement of 1650 hours per year.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Represent clients in court, including at hearings, trials, and depositions.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and other dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong ability to manage and take ownership of cases independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet billable hour requirements.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.

Skills:

  • Strong advocacy skills for courtroom appearances and trial work.
