A law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join their team in Washington, DC. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating antitrust-related provisions in complex sale and purchase agreements, as well as providing legal counsel on antitrust compliance and investigations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in antitrust law and be admitted to practice law in Washington, DC.

 

Duties:

  • Review and negotiate antitrust-related provisions in complex sale and purchase agreements.
  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel on all aspects of compliance with antitrust laws.
  • Formulate legal strategy based on comprehensive legal and factual research and analysis to evaluate the potential antitrust implications of business strategies, agreements, and practices.
  • Conduct internal investigations to identify and address potential antitrust violations, and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
  • Oversee the preparation of notifications to the U.S. government under the Hart-Scott Rodino Act (“HSR filings”) to ensure compliance with antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Represent U.S. and ex-U.S. clients in negotiations with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders on antitrust matters.
  • Provide legal support and guidance on antitrust aspects of merger review processes, merger litigation, antitrust investigations, and antitrust litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • J.D. or foreign equivalent.
  • LLM or foreign equivalent.
  • Admitted to practice law in Washington, DC.
  • 4+ years of experience in providing legal advice on antitrust matters.
  • Extensive knowledge of antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Master of Laws (LLM) or foreign equivalent.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in Washington, DC.
