Job Overview
A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team in San Diego, CA. This boutique firm focuses on plaintiff injury and defense base act cases, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment. The selected candidate will handle pre-litigation case investigation, assess damages, and manage all litigation processes, including court appearances, depositions, and legal filings. Duties

  • Oversee and manage assigned caseload under senior attorney supervision

  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, memoranda, and correspondence

  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and discovery materials

  • Represent clients in court, including law and motion hearings

  • Participate in trial preparation and litigation strategy development

  • Take and defend depositions while managing discovery processes

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in case evaluation

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Adaptability in handling shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar (required)
