Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly motivated Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits Associate for its New York office. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits, particularly in connection with corporate transactions, financial restructurings, and securities aspects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team on high-level corporate and transactional matters.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Advise clients on executive compensation and employee benefit plans and arrangements
  • Provide guidance on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, restructuring, corporate governance, and securities
  • Work on the securities aspects of executive compensation, including public company disclosures
  • Assist with legal aspects of financial restructurings and transactions
  • Collaborate with clients, including public/private companies, private equity, executives, and lenders
  • Draft and review compensation-related agreements and documents
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic solutions for complex compensation issues

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits
  • Experience in corporate transactions, securities law, and financial restructurings
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Must be available to work in person in the New York office

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Stellar academic credentials

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state Bar

Skills:

  • Expertise in executive compensation and employee benefits
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and corporate governance
  • Strong understanding of securities law and public company disclosure requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work approach
