A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Associate Attorney to join its Winston-Salem, NC office. The ideal candidate will assist in handling cases across various practice areas, including employment law, medical malpractice, business litigation, and general litigation. This role provides an opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced legal environment. Remote work options may be available upon request.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with discovery requests, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and document production.
  • Attend hearings and engage in direct client communication to provide case updates and legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case preparation and strategy.
  • Handle various administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the office.
  • Support team members on a wide range of legal projects and case matters.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, or actively awaiting bar results.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and adapt to new challenges.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or awaiting North Carolina State Bar Exam results.
