A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Partner to join its growing national team. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney with a proven track record in commercial real estate transactions. The successful candidate will have experience leading complex deals across various sectors, including development, lending, acquisitions, and property management. Duties:

  • Commercial Real Estate Transactions:

    • Lead and manage a diverse range of commercial real estate transactions including development, acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
    • Handle complex commercial leasing (office and retail) agreements and advise on REITs and property management contracts.
    • Manage joint venture investments, debt restructurings, and workouts.
  • Client Relations & Business Development:

    • Maintain and grow an independent portfolio of clients (minimum of $250k in annual client revenue).
    • Provide strategic advice to clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and real estate goals.
    • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, lenders, and investors.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:

    • Lead deals from start to finish, mentoring junior attorneys and overseeing project management for large transactions.
    • Work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide integrated legal solutions for clients.
    • Leverage extensive legal experience to drive firm-wide initiatives and business growth.
  • Innovation & Efficiency:

    • Drive innovative solutions for clients by utilizing cutting-edge technology and processes to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
    • Help the firm continue to challenge the traditional law firm model by providing high-level legal services with reduced overhead.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with significant involvement in complex transactions.
  • A proven ability to lead deals and manage a self-sustaining book of business.
  • Experience in real estate development, acquisitions, lending, leasing, REITs, and debt restructuring.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate high-stakes, multi-party transactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated success in client development and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the state bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial real estate law and related areas such as financing, leasing, and property management agreements.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in managing and growing a client portfolio.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex legal challenges.
