Duties

• Defend employers in wage and hour litigation, with emphasis on class and collective actions

• Craft, execute, and manage discovery strategies with minimal oversight

• Conduct depositions and argue motions, particularly those involving discovery disputes

• Draft responses to written discovery requests in wage and hour cases

• Challenge class certification motions through persuasive legal writing and arguments

• Provide strategic legal analysis while maintaining direct communication with clients

• Collaborate with litigation teams to develop case strategies tailored to client goals

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience managing wage and hour class action matters

• Proven ability to handle litigation tasks with limited supervision

• Demonstrated expertise in California labor law and related federal statutes

• Prior experience with all phases of discovery in complex employment cases

• Strong written advocacy skills, especially in opposition to class certification

• Comfortable interacting directly with clients in high-stakes scenarios

• Effective communicator with consistent follow-through

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
