Duties:

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, trials, and in front of government agencies.
• Advise clients on legal issues and disputes in both private and court matters.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, judges, attorneys, and clients to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain organized client files to ensure up-to-date information is accessible to the legal team.

Requirements:

• Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior attorneys and contribute to client needs.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active South Dakota Bar License (Iowa license is a plus).

Skills:

• Expertise in personal injury and workers’ compensation law preferred.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
