Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including DUI and felony charges
  • Handle criminal cases from start to finish, including pre-trial motions, hearings, and trials
  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their criminal cases
  • Prepare and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs in court
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to manage case load efficiently
  • Maintain communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress
  • Negotiate settlements and plea deals when appropriate
  • Keep up to date with legal developments and ensure compliance with Florida law

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in criminal defense, including serious felony jury trials
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida
  • Experience with DUI defense is preferred
  • A background with the State Attorney's Office or Public Defender's Office is a plus
  • Strong courtroom presence and trial experience
  • Ability to manage a case load independently and effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Client-focused with the ability to build strong relationships with clients

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida

Skills:
