A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Transactional Attorney to join its team in Charlottesville, VA. This role focuses on commercial real estate and corporate law within a collaborative and professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and drafting contracts, a detail-oriented mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills for working with corporate clients.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including contracts, leases, and closing documents.
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate law matters, including entity formation, governance, and compliance.
  • Facilitate real estate development projects, including contract negotiations, construction financing, and related matters.
  • Represent clients in commercial leasing and acquisition transactions.
  • Coordinate and manage closings for real estate and business transactions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure high-quality client service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by providing tailored and proactive legal advice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transactional law, particularly in commercial real estate and corporate matters.
  • Background in drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
  • Ability to work effectively with corporate clients and understand their business needs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia or actively pursuing licensure.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Virginia Bar license or eligibility to obtain one promptly.
