Duties

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family-based immigration cases, focusing on T visas and VAWA cases.
  • Provide exceptional legal advice and customer service to clients, primarily undocumented Mexicans and Central Americans.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and writing to develop robust case strategies.
  • Led and managed a dedicated team of legal professionals, driving success and maintaining the firm's 100% success rate in filings.
  • Engage directly with clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Stay updated on immigration laws and policies, particularly those related to T visas and VAWA.
  • Advocate passionately for humanitarian immigration options, supporting victims of labor trafficking and extreme cruelty.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to achieve the best client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • Ideally, 3+ years of experience in immigration law, focusing on family-based immigration cases, T visas, and VAWA.
  • Proven ability to manage both a team and a large caseload effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
