A law firm in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of litigation experience, preferably with expertise in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Superior Court of Delaware, and the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Experience in the Delaware Supreme Court is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess a Delaware bar membership, and bar memberships in New Jersey or New York would be advantageous.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a variety of litigation matters, including but not limited to corporate and commercial disputes, contractual disputes, and other civil cases.
  • Conduct legal research analysis and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in all phases of the litigation process, from case initiation through trial, settlement, or appeal.
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and opposing counsel to develop and implement litigation strategies.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as required.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients, ensuring that their best interests are represented.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the practice area.
  • Manage and mentor junior associates and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Superior Court of Delaware, and the US District Court for the District of Delaware procedures.
  • Experience in the Delaware Supreme Court is a plus.
  • Active membership in the Delaware State Bar Association.
  • Membership in the New Jersey or New York State Bar Associations is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Delaware State Bar Association membership.
