Job Details:

  • Handle a wide range of litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials, hearings, depositions, and negotiations.
  • Stay informed about current legal developments and trends relevant to litigation practice.
  • Analyze, research, and draft briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, class certification motions, writs, and appeals.
  • Develop case strategies, interview witnesses, and gather evidence for trial preparation.
  • Familiarity with courtroom procedures and effective presentation skills.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously with strong case management skills, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is organized.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines of the California State Bar.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California and in good standing with the CA State Bar.
  • 6-8 years of experience in litigation, preferably with experience in complex litigation matters.
  • Proven track record in legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Trial preparation experience, including case strategy development and witness preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
