A law firm seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of litigation experience and an understanding of court protocols, with a desire to build a long-term relationship that may lead to partnership opportunities.

Duties:

  • Serve as general counsel for community associations, handling:
    • Litigation matters
    • Fair housing issues
    • Collections and bankruptcy
    • Corporate governance
    • Contract analysis, drafting, and enforcement
  • Conduct thorough legal research and deliver clear, comprehensible analyses to clients.
  • Manage all phases of civil litigation, including:
    • Motion practice
    • Oral presentations in court
    • Discovery processes
  • Draft and prepare correspondence for clients, opposing parties, and the court.
  • Collaborate effectively with office staff and other attorneys.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Initial responsibilities will be tailored based on the candidate's experience.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of litigation experience.
  • In-depth understanding of court rules and procedures.
  • Must be an active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State.
