Job Overview:

A prestigious AM Law 200 firm is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized Finance Associate to join its dynamic Finance Practice Group. The firm offers a wide range of services in corporate finance, handling complex transactions for clients in diverse industries including private equity, healthcare, financial institutions, automotive, and more. Duties:

• Represent clients in complex financing transactions, including private equity financing, acquisition financing, strategic debt financing, asset-based lending, and other debt transactions.
• Deliver high-quality work-product and communicate effectively at all levels with colleagues and clients.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, energy, and enthusiasm for counseling in the relevant client sectors.
• Exhibit highly responsive, creative, and efficient work habits to meet client demands.
• Continuously improve knowledge, skills, and abilities and seek feedback to improve performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues while integrating into the practice group.
• Actively participate in business development and networking to foster new client relationships.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in corporate finance transactions within a law firm.
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks while working under time constraints.
• Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
• Ability to travel as client needs require.

Education:

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Licensed Illinois attorney in good standing (or ability to waive into either jurisdiction).

Skills:

• Expertise in corporate finance transactions, including debt and equity financing.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
