Duties

  • Manage a personal caseload focused on workers' compensation defense matters, ensuring all deadlines and legal requirements are met.
  • Partner with senior counsel to create strategic approaches tailored to each case.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and assessments of medical records, integrating findings into case development.
  • Draft a range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and demand letters, ensuring clarity and legal precision.
  • Maintain regular and proactive communication with clients to provide case updates and answer questions.
  • Work independently within a remote environment, balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining responsiveness and attention to detail.
  • Participate in virtual court proceedings and remote legal conferences as required.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience handling workers' compensation defense cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality legal documents, from pleadings to case summaries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess cases quickly and strategically.
  • Experience conducting in-depth medical record reviews within a legal context.
  • Ability to work autonomously while remaining connected to a collaborative, remote team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active and good-standing membership with the Florida Bar.
