A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its elder law and estate planning practice in Rapid City, SD. The firm focuses on areas such as estate planning, nursing home planning, guardianship/conservatorship, and probate/trust administration. Duties:

  • Develop legal strategies and provide counsel in estate planning, nursing home planning, and probate matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, wills, trusts, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, both contested and uncontested.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, court staff, and other relevant parties to manage client cases.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and ensure legal issues are addressed promptly.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in South Dakota.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and legal professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and committed to providing high-quality legal services to clients.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
