A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to become part of its dynamic and growing practice. The firm specializes in providing legal services to high-net-worth clients, covering areas such as estate planning, trust and estate administration, taxation, corporate matters, and real estate transactions. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney to work closely with clients on complex legal issues and contribute to a boutique law firm's continued success.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation on estate planning, trust, and estate administration.
  • Draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents tailored to high-net-worth clients.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memos and other legal documents in the areas of taxation, corporate law, and real estate transactions.
  • Manage and oversee trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings and asset distribution.
  • Assist clients with business formation, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with the firm's partners and legal team on complex client transactions and projects.
  • Maintain client relationships by providing personalized, high-quality legal services.
  • Handle real estate transactions, including drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements.
  • Attend client meetings in both Lake Geneva, WI, and downtown Chicago, IL, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Wisconsin, with eligibility to practice in Illinois preferred.
  • Strong academic background with demonstrated excellence in research and writing.
  • Prior experience or relevant coursework in estate planning, trusts, taxation, and corporate law.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced small firm environment.
  • Flexibility to travel between Lake Geneva, WI, and downtown Chicago offices.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin (Illinois license is a plus).
