A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced Senior Attorney with a strong background in employment law. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of relevant experience and hold admission to the NJ/NY Bar. The firm is open to considering candidates at the partner level, with or without a book of business.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in employment law matters, including employment discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and compliance issues.
  • Handle all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal.
  • Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Advise clients on employment practices and strategies to minimize legal risks.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment law.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and deliver effective legal solutions.
  • Engage in business development activities to attract and retain clients, if applicable.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the NJ/NY Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law.
  • Proven track record of handling employment law cases independently.
  • Strong litigation skills and experience in court proceedings.
