Associate Attorney Civil Litigation

A law firm seeks a dedicated and driven Associate Attorney to join their civil litigation team in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters, including consumer credit, foreclosure, and contract disputes. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to handle multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in civil litigation cases, focusing on consumer credit, foreclosure, and contract disputes
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide analysis on various civil law matters
• Offer strategic legal advice to clients and develop case strategies
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to achieve favorable outcomes

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on consumer credit, foreclosure, and contract disputes
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Licensed to practice law in New York

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active New York State Bar license
