Duties

  • Handle written discovery and depositions.

  • Draft pleadings and substantive motions.

  • Assist with mediations and court appearances.

  • Support trial preparation and assist during trials and arbitrations.

  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys on business litigation matters.

  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis for complex litigation cases.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in business litigation.

  • Strong experience in written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings, and motions.

  • Experience with mediations, court appearances, and assisting in trials and arbitrations.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

  • Strong academic record.

  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills

  • Proficiency in litigation processes, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.

  • Effective communication and advocacy skills in court and during negotiations.

  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
