Job Overview: A well-established New York City law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in divorce and family law. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of matrimonial law experience, capable of managing cases from inception through trial in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Location:

  • New York, NY (Hybrid structure)

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, equitable distribution, and spousal support
  • Prepare and organize case files for court hearings and trials
  • Engage in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness files, and conduct first chair trials
  • Attend court hearings and all related proceedings

Requirements:

  • Admission to the New York Bar (NJ or other states a plus)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a family law attorney
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures with prior first chair trial experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school (preferred)

Certifications:

  • New York Bar License (Required)

Skills:

  • Proficient in family law procedures
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
