Job Title: Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. This role involves managing cases from inception through trial, communicating with clients and professionals to ensure efficient resolution, and strategically advocating for clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and demonstrate the ability to manage complex cases independently while mentoring junior team members.

Duties:

  • Handle cases from initiation through trial, including all pre-trial and trial procedures.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients, insurance adjusters, medical professionals, opposing counsel, and team members to effectively resolve cases.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of claims and gather supporting evidence.
  • Review and document client injuries, expenses, and medical records.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and other required filings.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Employ strategic thinking to provide aggressive advocacy for clients.
  • Lead personnel, including overseeing training, coaching, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in training and development of personnel as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and in good standing with the Louisiana Bar.

Preferred Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Familiarity with case management software.
  • Strong understanding of medical treatment and its legal implications.

Education:
