Location

Duties

• Handle defense litigation cases from inception through resolution
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
• Represent clients in court, including attending hearings and trials
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff in a team-oriented environment
• Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently

Requirements

• 2-5 years of defense litigation experience
• Experience in products liability, toxic tort, construction, and/or general liability (preferred)
• Admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active membership in the Missouri and Kansas Bars

Certifications

• Admission to practice in Missouri and Kansas (required)
