Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Baltimore is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including first-chair civil jury trial experience. The ideal candidate will hold a Maryland Bar license and preferably be licensed to practice in either the District of Columbia or the Commonwealth of Virginia. Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in civil jury trials.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions and document production.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Maryland Bar license is required.
• Preferably licensed to practice in either the District of Columbia or the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with first-chair civil jury trial experience.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
