General Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm in Abington, PA is seeking a motivated General Liability Associate Attorney with experience in premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, class action litigation, and insurance coverage matters. The attorney should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively with a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of general liability matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, class action litigation, and insurance coverage disputes.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Handle all aspects of litigation including court appearances, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and adversaries.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on legal issues.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and provide clear, concise recommendations.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and litigation tactics.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Stay updated on developments in the field of general liability law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania, in good standing.
• License to practice law in New Jersey preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling general liability matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, class action litigation, and insurance coverage disputes; 7 years preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
