Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including all stages of litigation from inception through trial.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, and conducting depositions.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel, providing updates and discussing case strategies.
  • Prepare for and assist in trial proceedings as necessary.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 0-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a strong understanding of civil litigation procedures.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Litigation Skills: Previous experience with depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
