A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in Seattle, WA. This position is ideal for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations and the skills to handle a broad range of franchise-related transactional work. The successful candidate will counsel clients across various industries, providing legal expertise in drafting and regulatory compliance.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and regulatory filings.
  • Advise on complex business transactions related to franchise and distribution law.
  • Guide domestic and international clients on franchising matters.
  • Collaborate with a team of seasoned attorneys on both transactional and litigation franchise issues.
  • Support a diverse client base, including start-ups, large franchisors, private equity firms, and international entities entering the U.S. market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. franchising regulations.
  • Admission to practice law in Washington, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar or eligibility for admission.
