Senior Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This is a full-time, hybrid position that offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment, handling a variety of legal challenges across multiple areas of litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil defense litigation with at least 10 years of experience, particularly in general liability, professional liability, or employment claims. Duties:

• Represent clients throughout all phases of litigation, from initiation to trial.
• Handle cases involving general liability, professional liability, and/or employment claims.
• Provide counsel and strategic legal advice on complex legal matters.
• Manage a caseload in various litigation areas such as casualty, construction defect, and medical malpractice.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Engage in legal research, draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate legal strategies and outcomes.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in civil defense.
• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• Prior experience in casualty, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, or general liability litigation is highly preferred.
• Previous work at an insurance defense litigation firm is a plus.
• Proven ability to handle complex litigation cases independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Lexis software.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in Pennsylvania.
