Job Overview
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Processing Attorney for an exciting opportunity in the Dallas, TX area. This role is ideal for a dedicated Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of immigration law experience, specializing in consular processing and waivers. The position offers significant growth potential within a collaborative team environment. The Immigration Attorney will handle various immigration cases, including consular processing, waivers, and USCIS applications, while managing their caseload and interacting directly with clients.

Location

  • Dallas, TX

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of CP/Waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa
  • Prepare clients for their consulate interview
  • Represent clients before USCIS
  • Review and adjust immigration applications/packets
  • Manage a team of paralegals to meet productivity goals and client expectations
  • Provide legal analysis to clients and determine case benefits
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law
  • Ability to manage and move legal cases forward efficiently
  • A collaborative team player who is open to strategizing with associates
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Experience with Consular Processing applications and waivers
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in the state bar (Texas preferred)

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar in good standing

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of immigration law, particularly consular processing and waivers
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload
  • Strong client communication skills
