A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and skilled attorney to join its Technology Companies Group in Boston, MA. This role focuses on supporting high-growth emerging technology businesses, particularly in blockchain and cryptocurrency. The associate will engage in venture capital financings, token issuances, corporate structuring, and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) formation while navigating a dynamic regulatory landscape.

Duties

  • Advise blockchain and technology companies on all stages of growth, from startup to established enterprise.
  • Handle venture capital transactions, including fundraising and strategic investments.
  • Counsel on token issuances, blockchain protocols, and associated legal and regulatory matters.
  • Assist clients with corporate structuring and DAO formation.
  • Provide strategic guidance on compliance with evolving regulations related to blockchain and cryptocurrency.
  • Manage general corporate legal work for tech companies, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial agreements.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in venture capital, emerging technology, blockchain, or cryptocurrency legal work, preferably within a major law firm.
  • Expertise: Proven ability to advise on venture capital financings and blockchain-related matters.
  • Bar Membership: Active membership in the MA State Bar or eligibility to practice law in MA.
  • Attributes: Strong academic credentials, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in good standing in MA.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency markets.
  • Expertise in venture capital transactions and corporate structuring.
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills for complex transactions.
