A law firm in Mount Pleasant, SC, is seeking a skilled Real Estate Closing Attorney who is a member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions, drafting legal documents, and providing exceptional client service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, and refinances.
  • Review title commitments and address any title issues that arise during the transaction process.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, real estate agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth and efficient transactions.
  • Draft and review a variety of legal documents, including contracts, deeds, leases, loan documents, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide professional and engaging client service, addressing client inquiries and ensuring satisfaction throughout the transaction process.
  • Review and manage the disbursement ledger, ensuring accurate financial transactions and signing checks as required.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships to attract new clients and foster ongoing referrals for the firm.
  • Conduct training sessions and educational seminars for potential clients on relevant areas of real estate law and transaction procedures.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Experience in handling residential and commercial real estate transactions preferred.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, including title review, closing procedures, and financing arrangements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
