Senior Business Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly experienced and motivated Senior Business Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice in downtown Denver, CO. This role involves taking full responsibility for handling all aspects of business litigation matters, from pre-litigation assessments and client counsel to representation at trial. Duties:

• Oversee business litigation cases from pre-litigation through to trial
• Conduct pre-litigation analysis and provide legal recommendations to clients
• Draft and litigate business agreements, including purchase-sale agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and loan/service agreements
• Handle employment law cases, including disputes related to discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and non-compete agreements
• Represent clients in trials, arbitration, and hearings, including the application of Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Collaborate with team members while managing individual caseloads
• Ensure accurate, detail-oriented legal writing and documentation
• Provide strategic legal counsel with a high degree of initiative and judgment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business law and litigation
• First-chair trial or arbitration experience, with a minimum of 5 trials
• Strong understanding of corporate/business law, including drafting and litigating contracts and agreements
• Experience in employment law, particularly in handling disputes related to wrongful termination, discrimination, and contract breaches
• Thorough knowledge of Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on precision and clarity
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently while maintaining strong client relationships
• High attention to detail and ability to provide thorough, accurate legal documentation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado (required)
