Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction contracting and development, providing transactional and litigation support across various industry sectors.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements in diverse industry sectors.
  • Negotiate EPC contracts for extensive infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on claims management, including change orders, extra work claims, delays, and construction defect claims.
  • Assist in litigation and arbitration matters related to construction disputes, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, and arbitration hearings/trials.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, attorneys, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce timely and accurate work products and respond efficiently to correspondence and phone calls.
  • Adhere to firm policies, meet deadlines, and maintain positive work relationships.

Requirements:

  • JD degree and admission to the GA Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction contracting and related development.
  • Familiarity with industry form agreements such as AIA and similar forms.
  • Preferred experience with litigation or arbitration matters.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
  • Attention to detail and good business judgment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia.
