Litigation Attorney for Towson Office

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its team in Towson, MD. This role provides hands-on exposure to diverse litigation matters, including professional malpractice, employment disputes, and general liability claims. Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation from case initiation through expert discovery.

• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, hearings, and case management conferences.

• Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, memoranda, and settlement agreements.

• Review and analyze discovery responses, depositions, and case materials.

• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.

• Maintain close communication with clients, providing legal analysis, case updates, and strategic advice.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Maryland State Bar (DC admission is a plus).

• Experience in litigation, particularly in medical malpractice, professional liability, or employment law, is preferred.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload while maintaining attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal research tools such as Lexis.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Maryland State Bar.
