Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of medical devices and bioengineering
  • Respond to office actions and assist with patent application amendments
  • Conduct prior art searches and assist in the preparation of patent opinions
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and other IP professionals on patent strategies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in technology and intellectual property law
  • Support clients in navigating patent portfolios related to innovative medical devices

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Patent Agent
  • Expertise in medical devices, bioengineering, mechanical engineering, AI, or computer science
  • Strong knowledge of patent prosecution procedures
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in bioengineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field

Certifications:

  • USPTO registration required

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a deep understanding of patent law and technical concepts
