Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare and present arguments in court and at depositions.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Stay current with legal developments and changes in the law relevant to practice areas.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Wisconsin.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil litigation preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to handle a diverse caseload and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Wisconsin.

Skills:
