The role involves managing high-exposure litigation cases, including complex commercial disputes, construction litigation, class actions, and environmental cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, writing, and organizational skills and be comfortable working with clients and insurers on both domestic and international insurance claims.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of 25-30 diverse matters across various sectors.
• Take depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and manage discovery processes.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms like Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis.
• Review and analyze legal documents, trial transcripts, and develop appellate arguments.
• Evaluate insurance policies and assess claims for coverage issues.
• Investigate claims and develop case handling strategies.
• Maintain effective communication and reporting with insurance carrier clients and insureds.
• Prepare cases for trial and mediation and participate in these proceedings.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Admission to the Arizona State Bar.
• Experience in taking depositions and managing complex litigation cases.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Arizona.
