A law firm in Chicago, IL, is currently seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as an Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate should possess 5-10 years of experience, with a focus on civil defense litigation in Illinois. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in insurance defense and a proven track record in motion practice, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to clients in civil defense litigation matters within Illinois.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft and prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate actively in the entire litigation process, from discovery through trial.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective case strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Illinois State Bar.
• 5-10 years of relevant civil defense litigation experience.
• Proven experience in insurance defense cases.
