Class Action Attorney Consumer Rights

A law firm seeks an experienced Class Action Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team in Los Angeles. This position is ideal for a motivated and skilled attorney with expertise in consumer rights class action cases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload, conduct in-depth legal analysis, and be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on achieving favorable outcomes in class action litigation.

Duties:

• Assess and evaluate potential class action claims related to consumer rights, ensuring they meet the necessary criteria for class certification
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide the foundation for successful litigation
• Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and other critical filings required in class action cases
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Class Action Department and other firm staff to devise and implement case strategies
• Manage a robust caseload and ensure that deadlines and case milestones are met
• Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients regarding class action eligibility and legal options
• Represent clients in court as needed, presenting motions and advocating on their behalf in class action litigation

Requirements:

• Proven experience in consumer class action litigation (preferred)
• Strong understanding of the California Labor Code and its application in class action cases
• Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs
• In-depth knowledge of class action litigation procedures and legal strategies
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Client-focused with a strong ability to communicate complex legal concepts to a wide audience
• Experience with legal research tools and case management software
