Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Title Review Attorney. The ideal candidate is an independent, detail-oriented professional who possesses excellent communication skills and has a strong background in real estate law. This role is best suited for individuals with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to handle title reviews with accuracy and efficiency.

Duties:

  • Conduct detailed title searches and examinations.
  • Review a variety of legal documents, including trusts, estates, and corporate records, to certify title opinions.
  • Analyze recorded documents and other property-related information to verify legal ownership.
  • Coordinate with clients and third-party professionals to address and resolve title issues.
  • Provide well-reasoned recommendations and opinions on title status.
  • Prepare and review title insurance documents; title insurance company approval is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Active North Carolina Bar license (South Carolina Bar license is preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing legal documents.
  • Experience with real estate transactions and title searches preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active North Carolina Bar membership.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in North Carolina (South Carolina admission preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using title search systems and related software.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to address issues and provide solutions efficiently.
