Associate Attorney Residential Real Estate and Litigation

Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its remote New Mexico-based practice, focusing on residential real estate litigation, mortgage law, and transactional matters. This role involves managing cases from start to finish, advising clients on legal strategies, drafting court pleadings, and representing clients in court hearings. Duties:

• Manage legal cases from inception through to resolution, with an emphasis on residential real estate and mortgage litigation.
• Analyze case details and advise clients on appropriate strategies for litigation and transactional matters.
• Draft court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, either telephonically or in person, depending on case requirements.
• Collaborate with the legal team on special projects and additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the state of New Mexico.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law, with a preference for experience in litigation, real estate, or mortgage law.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with legal software tools and general office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New Mexico.
