Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Projects Lawyer with 4-6 years of experience in Project Development and mergers and acquisitions, preferably within renewable energy, oil & gas, or broader infrastructure sectors. The role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated transactions and contribute to high-impact projects.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate various agreements, including engineering, procurement, and construction agreements (EPC), operations and maintenance agreements (O&M), equipment procurement agreements, and other project development agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence, research, and analysis for project acquisitions and developments.
  • Provide legal advice on regulatory matters related to energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, project developers, lenders, and governmental entities throughout project lifecycles.
  • Manage and oversee junior associates or legal staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligible for admission via waiver or reciprocity.
  • 4-6 years of experience practicing law, focusing on Project Development and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated experience in renewable energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligible for admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Sound understanding of project finance principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
