Pre-Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a motivated and results-driven Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their expanding personal injury practice in Cleveland, Ohio. This attorney will be responsible for handling a diverse and active caseload, providing top-tier representation to clients while ensuring the firm’s high standards of performance and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is aggressive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough investigations into case facts and gather critical evidence to support damages claims.
• Oversee settlement negotiations, including resolving liens and managing case details effectively.
• Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and insurance representatives.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve firm-wide objectives.
• Supervise and guide support staff to ensure smooth case progression and high-quality work.
• Provide strategic legal counsel and case management throughout the pre-litigation phase.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in personal injury law (plaintiff or defense).
• Prior experience in insurance defense or claims handling is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Needles case management software is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on client relations.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and current license to practice law in Ohio.
